Τι θα δεις; Πιο κοντό μήκος, ρομαντικά στοιχεία, χρώματα, μανίκια, νεο-βικτωριανά σχέδια με ψηλό λαιμό, κάπες, V ντεκολτέ, γυμνές πλάτες κι αποχρώσεις του ροζ, λιλά και βεραμάν. Στο τέλος σε περιμένει μία έκπληξη. Τολμάς;

1. Young love

After seasons of sheer gowns, super-sexy looks and borderline risqué silhouettes, designers covered up for Fall 2017. After all, the concept of the bride wearing white, at its core, is about virginity and purity. This season, designers turned up the volume on traditional roots, sending covered-up, angelic looks with delicately pleated, Victorian necklines, full skirts, ladylike laces and feminine, textural appliqués down the runways. The trend hearkened to a youthful innocence the bridal runways have been lacking lately, and the proof lay in both the designers' inspirations and the execution: Vera Wang dubbed her Fall 2017 collection "Young Love," while Monique Lhuillier started her show notes with a string of adjectives, beginning with the keyword "youthful." From left: Costarellos, Marchesa, Yolan Cris, Vera Wang Bride and Reem Acra Fall 2017 Bridal.

 2. Ένταση

Bows for brides...groundbreaking. While this may seem like the most bare-bones idea for bridal, this season bows took on new forms–from oversized and abundant to architecturally draped and folded. No longer simply used to cinch your waist (and we'd typically discourage you from wearing add-on sashes that feel more like afterthoughts than part of the dress' design), these ties, knots, obis and twists adorned and embellished gowns of all shapes and styles. From left: Oscar de la Renta, Moda Operandi x Delpozo and Viktor and Rolf Fall 2017 Bridal.

 3. Special Effects

Fine lace will always have its place, but ribbon-work, matelassé, devouré and textural laces like guipure, macrame and re-appliquéd and embroidered laces gave this season's dresses a third dimension. While undoubtedly luxe in quality, these textures lend structure to otherwise romantic styles, and add visual interest to architectural silhouettes. 4.Latin Flair

Fringe, bold floral thread-work and tiers upon tiers of ruffles all evoked a Flamenco flair—a slight (and dare we say it, more fun) departure from the traditional Spanish vibes of seasons past. This look felt fresh, young and energetic, and doesn't necessarily require a mantilla or hair flower accessory (unless of course, you want to take it there). With an easy effervescence that would suit the hopeless romantic and the beach bride and a luxe feel that feels apropos for the city-chic socialite, we may have just discovered bridal's new boho. From left: Reem Acra, Costarellos, Temperley, Carolina Herrera, Marchesa and Naeem Khan Fall 2017 Bridal.

5. Neo-Opulence

Over-the-top beading can illicit one of two reactions in modern brides: hands clapping, blissful excitement, or a gut feeling that almost mirrors the unpleasant taste one gets in one's mouth after eating a big handful of sour gummies. Too much bling, for some, is simply too much. This season, designers reinvented the wheel on opulence, creating looks that felt easy and light, while also being over-the-top and maximal. All-over beading, trimmed tiers and encrusted fabrics have never felt more effortless. From left: Inbal Dror, Moda Operandi x Temperley and Monique Lhuillier Fall 2017 Bridal.

6. High-Low Ball Gowns

Tea length has been popular on the runways both this season and in seasons past, but the silhouette is understandably, hard to pull off—after all, how many people can afford to cut themselves off at the ankle and still appear long and lean? With that ease of silhouette in mind, we fell for the looks that offered a full-skirted feel without the weight. The epitome of classic redux, these new shapes showcase shoes and make dancing all night that much more effortless. 7. A La Mod

Whether you're aiming for something à la Twiggy, Audrey, Mia Farrow or Jackie O, this season's array of sweet shapes gave the mod maven ample shifts, minis, skirt suiting and collars to choose from. To push the look into present day (see: Alexa Chung), style with a flat, Mary Jane or a chic mule; keep jewelry to a minimum and hairpieces sweet or simple.

8. The Simple Life

After layers of lace, gobs of beading, ruffled skirts and over-the-top opulence, some designers felt the need to simplify—and rightly so. With minimal brides on the rise and barely enough clean lines to go around, brides were craving something sparse. Aisle-worthy minimalism has been restricted to sleek columns, crisp suiting and bias-cut slips in the past, but Fall 2017 offered a range of shapes, fabrications and styles that catered to a wide variety of aesthetics—with zero embellishments or extras. 9. Extra Froth

Far from Flamenco and not quite flange, these micro-layered skirts continued to pop up as bridal fashion week unfolded in a soft-colored range of champagnes, nudes and soft pinks. Brides after the drama of a ball skirt but the lightness of a romantic, embroidered A-line will love the texture these layers offer without the weight, and they feel like a fresh take on the flange skirts that made some key bridal names (read: Vera Wang and later Monique Lhuillier and Marchesa) known for their dramatic, layered ball gowns. 10. Suit Up

Taking style notes from Bianca Jagger is never a bad idea. Jumpsuits and suiting have had their moment in the past, but this season's shows delivered them in droves–and to suit a variety of personal styles. From left: Houghton, Elizabeth Fillmoe, Viktor & Rolf, Yolan Criss Fall 2017 Bridal.
