Isa & Pato: Their whimsical wedding in Mexico was a fanciful celebration to remember!

Isa and Pato united their lives through two wedding ceremonies (religious and civil), which combined the colorful magic of Mexico with the understated elegance of a modern wedding.

When Isa first traveled to San Miguel de Allende in Mexico to celebrate New Year's Eve 2019 with her friends, she never imagined that she would meet the man of her life at 4am. The marriage proposal did not take long to come from Pato and it happened while on a family trip, as the already had their daughter, Alba.

For the planning and coordination of the two weddings since in Mexico there is a separation of State and Church, the couple etrusted the challenging feat to Penzi Weddings. “Walking into my wedding and seeing all the details and the execution behind them was mind-blowing" Isa regards. "Absolutely everything from the flowers to the service to my guests exceed my expectations. The experience of the wedding was magical and care-free for me, because I knew I was in the best hands and every single detail was taken care of. Planning the wedding with Meengan Cardenas and the team was like being a child in a candy store, a delight and a world of possibilities. She is amazing at materializing the dreams your have in your head, while still keeping things functional and realistic. I believe it takes a special kind of talent to take someone’s fluttering ideas and Pinterest boards and actually bring them into reality. Throughout the whole process I felt heard and guided, which is how you want to feel when planning your big day".

Together with her team, she designed two ceremonies that combined the colorful aesthetic of Mexico City and the understated elegance of a modern wedding Stunning floral arrangements took center stage: from the red and white rose petals beautifully laid on the ground to the hanging arrangement of lush blooming flowers and the greenery that decorated the buffets.

The civil wedding took place on Thursday and was followed by a party with Mexican food, tequila and live music. On Friday, the groom his friends enjoyed a game of golf and the bride celebrated with her friends at a pool party. The grand finale took place on Saturday, when they walked up the steps of the church at the groom's family estate, Villa Xido and celebrated their union at Casa Nella by dancing until sunrise.

Η πρόταση γάμου δεν άργησε να έρθει από τον Pato σε ένα οικογενειακό ταξίδι, κι ενώ είχαν ήδη αποκτήσει την κόρη τους, Alba.

Για τη διοργάνωση των δύο γάμων, καθώς στο Μεξικό υπάρχει διαχωρισμός Κράτους και Εκκλησίας, το ζευγάρι εμπιστεύτηκε την εταιρεία Penzi Wedding. «Μας πρόσφερε μία μαγική και ξένοιαστη εμπειρία αναλαμβάνοντας τα πάντα και με κάθε λεπτομέρεια», τονίζει η Isa, ενώ η wedding planner Meengan Cardenas αναφέρει ότι «στόχος ήταν να ξεκουραστούν και να έχουν ελεύθερο χρόνο να περάσουν με τους καλεσμένους τους».

Μαζί με την ομάδα της, σχεδίασε δύο τελετές που συνδύαζαν την πολύχρωμη αισθητική της πόλης του Μεξικού με τη διακριτική κομψότητα ενός σύγχρονου γάμου και τον εντυπωσιακό ανθοστολισμό να κρατά πρωταγωνιστικό ρόλο: από τα στρωμένα κόκκινα-λευκά ροδοπέταλα στο έδαφος μέχρι τις πρασινάδες που διακοσμούσαν τους μπουφέδες και τις κρεμαστές συνθέσεις ανθισμένων λουλουδιών.

Ο πολιτικός γάμος τελέστηκε την Πέμπτη σε κλειστό κύκλο και ακολούθησε πάρτι με μεξικάνικο φαγητό, τεκίλα και ζωντανή μουσική. Την Παρασκευή, ο γαμπρός και οι φίλοι του έπαιξαν γκολφ και η νύφη με τις φίλες της έκαναν pool party. Το Σάββατο, ανέβηκαν τα σκαλιά της εκκλησίας στο οικογενειακό κτήμα του γαμπρού, στη Villa Xido και γιόρτασαν την ένωσή τους στην Casa Nella με χορό μέχρι την ανατολή του ήλιου.
